What Art-Style? Ahhhh...

Captain Art

This is the Walk Animation that is in the game right now. Its not polished and has weird edges. I'm cutting down the pallet and reforming the edges a bit to make this.

I'm also commissioning some background art.

Textbox Code

omg, so I was going through my code for my textbox and I realized a few things. I can't go back on text becuase I programmed it in such a way that it deletes itself and just initiates a new text box for any new message instead of feeding new messages into a pipeline. Its been hectic since there is no real way to future proof this system, but since my current game technically doesn't need that to happen I'm going forward with this. I'm even adding some built in responses for the text to set up cues for other things to happen. The downside is that there is code in my language scripts now, but the upside is that the code is ran in time with the text.

After-Thoughts

Does that new art direction actually work? Horror is suppose to be less saturated, but I have issues with contrast myself. Its also an Adventure Game so its not just a horror experience. I'm debating this art direction, but I think that when the first background comes in I'll have a better idea of how I want things put together.

PS Also Also

I starting piecing together the different rooms with the demo art I made in blender. Its really coming together. Although, that visual novel section at the beginning was off which is why I had to go through the venture of coding the textbox. As for now, I'm just going to work on the art and porting the story to script.
